Overview
The 2D Viewer main page at cs2.cam/2d is your gateway to accessing professional Counter-Strike 2 demos. Here you can browse, filter, and select matches from HLTV to analyze in the 2D viewer.
This page provides powerful search and filtering tools to help you quickly find the matches you're looking for, along with match statistics and direct access to the demo viewer.

Demo List & Filters
The demo list displays all public HLTV matches available for viewing. You can filter and search using multiple criteria:
- Teams - Search for specific teams by name
- Date - Filter matches by date range
- Maps - Filter by specific maps (Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, etc.)
- Events - Filter by tournaments and competitions (IEM, BLAST, PGL Majors, etc.)
- Rating - Filter by HLTV star rating to find high-profile matches

HLTV Star Rating
HLTV uses a star rating system to indicate the importance of matches based on the teams playing. This helps you quickly identify high-stakes games:
One top 20 team playing
Two top 20 teams playing
Two top 10 teams playing
Two top 5 teams playing
Two top 3 teams playing
Use the rating filter to quickly find the most competitive matches. Higher-rated matches typically feature better tactical play and are ideal for learning from pro teams.

Match Statistics
Before diving into a demo, you can preview match statistics directly from the demo list. Click on any match to expand and see a summary of the series.

The statistics preview shows the series score, individual map scores, and basic performance indicators for each team.

Match Details
Clicking on a match opens a detailed view with comprehensive statistics and navigation options:
- Global Statistics - Overall series performance including K/D, ADR, and rating
- Map-by-Map Stats - Individual map performance breakdowns
- Veto Information - Map picks and bans from the series
- HLTV Link - Direct link to the match page on HLTV
- Full Statistics - Link to comprehensive statistics for deeper analysis

Watching Demos
There are two ways to start watching a demo from the demo list:
- Replay Button - Click the "Replay" button on any match to open it in the 2D viewer
- Map Icon - Click directly on a map icon to jump straight to that specific map in the viewer
Once you select a demo, you'll be taken to the 2D viewer where you can analyze the match round by round with full playback controls.
